My church family. They mean so much to us.
I started this mini-series for November to give myself a goal of blogging everyday for the month about the things I am most thankful for. I have always loved these challenges but never stuck to them. I decided this was the year and that there is more than ever to be thankful for and I want to share it with the ones I love most.
Last year when I was about 8 weeks pregnant Josh and I went to a garage sale not far from our home. We started talking to the two ladies running it and after a while they invited us to their church.
I told them we would try to come tomorrow but I don’t think they really believed me.
Well a year and half later, not only do we go to church with them but we consider them our family. In fact the whole church feels like family.
They have been there through everything for us. The scary times, the fun times, the crazy times, and the joyful times. And we couldn’t be more blessed!
Our pastor is one of the best men I know. Anything you need, he is there. Not knowing us from Adam, he visited our home a few short weeks after we started going to Fresh Start when we were in the trenches of our subchorionic hemmorage journey!
He also came to the hospital twice when I had Marci Ann as well. Once when I was in Labor and once after delivery. He prayed over me and our sweet baby and it felt so comforting. Knowing we had people who cared for our safety so much was incredible (below are some pictures when he came to pray with us and I was in the middle of intense labor)!
His passion and love of his church exudes every encounter you have with him.
Not only am I thankful for Lyndi, Ally, and Pastor Dave, I am thankful for all the people we’ve met at Fresh Start!
We have been treated like family from day one and this mamas heart could not be more full because of it!
