Christmas music. It marks the official start of the holiday season!
I started this mini-series for November to give myself a goal of blogging everyday for the month about the things I am most thankful for. I have always loved these challenges but never stuck to them. I decided this was the year and that there is more than ever to be thankful for and I want to share it with the ones I love most.
I turned on the radio today and found the most glorious sound. The sound of slow tempo Christmas music mixed with modern-day tunes.
My best friend left me the loveliest voicemail yesterday signaling the start of the season! I was anxious to drive today to see if it was really true, even in another state!
And sure enough, my day was made with just a single Christmas song.
There is just something about the music, it’s like no other. Full of warmth and joy and thoughts of giving dancing around in your head. It’s magical, really.
But that is what the holidays are all about. The magic in the air. No one can deny the feeling they get at Christmas time and if they do you’ve likely found the Grinch or Scrooge!
This will be Marci Ann’s first Christmas and I her new-found love of music came at the perfect time. I mean, I’ve been listening to Christmas music off and on since July but she can finally relate.
We plan on decorating our home tomorrow with my parents as they are making a surprise visit. I can’t wait to turn on her favorite record player and dance to some ol’ Bing Crosby while we trim the tree!
A couple of my favorite holiday songs are…
Last Christmas by WAHM!
Happy Xmas by John Lennon
Mary Did You Know by Pentatonix
No joke, my alarm wakes me up by playing Pandora’s Christmas station! I mean, what more of a relaxing way to be woken up is there?
